The Denver Nuggets Survived The San Francisco Warriors At The Buzzer: A Short Article

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! Before I begin, let me just say this is the only article I’m writing before I get back to school and it’s going to be very short. I was debating skipping this game and waiting until a later one, but after the outcome, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to talk about this. Also (last thing, I promise), I didn’t watch most of the game so I’m going off what I know from highlights and insights from X users who watched the game.
We’ll begin with San Francisco, shooting 54% FG and 42% from 3PT, their starters had themselves a game. Well, some of them. Jonathan Kuminga had 16PTS on 5/7 shooting [71.4%; 6/7FT], 4REB, and 4AST in 19 minutes, Klay Thompson had 24PTS on 9/18 shooting [50%; 4/10 3PT], 3REB, and 3AST in 35 minutes, and Stephen Curry had 30PTS on 11/23 shooting [47.8%; 5/12 3PT], 6AST, and 4REB in 35 minutes.
While that is good and everything, the Nuggets did what they do best, made a major comeback. After going on a 27-6 run to end the game, the Nuggets got the 130-127 win over the Warriors. Let’s get into it. Jamal Murray ended his night with 25PTS on 8/16 shooting [50%; 1/6 3PT], 6AST, 2REB, and 2STL in 32 minutes, Aaron Gordon had 30PTS on 11/17 shooting [64.7%; 6/7FTS], 9REB, and 2AST in 35 minutes, and, of course, Nikola Jokić stole the show with a 3PT buzzer-beater from the CHASE logo. He ended his night with 34PTS on 13/16 shooting [81.2%; 2/2 3PT], 10AST, and 9REB in 38 minutes.
Peyton Watson also stood out tonight, having 19PTS on 6/10 shooting [60%; 2/4 3PT] and 5REB in 19 minutes tonight. He’s really shown lots of improvement lately.
