Denver Falls to Houston 107-104 (A Short Article)

Before I begin this article, I feel like I need to explain myself. I haven’t been posting on here for a while, and I’d like to apologize for that. It’s almost time for final exams here and I’m having to focus a lot more of my time on that compared to writing silly articles about the Nuggets. While I’d obviously prefer to write these articles, my education has to come first so I can become a real journalist one day. I can’t promise I will write about every game for the next few weeks, but I will definitely try my hardest.

So, with that said, let’s quickly talk about this game so I can stop being mad about it. The Denver Nuggets took the L against the Houston Rockets tonight. Both teams were coming off of win streaks tonight, but only one of them could keep it going and it was Houston.

On the Rockets side of things, Fred VanVleet had 26 PTS on 9/21 shooting [about 43%; 5/7 from the line], 2 REB, 4 AST in about 41 MINS, Alperen Sengun had 23 PTS on 9/18 shooting [50%; 5/6 from the line], 8 REB, and 5 AST in about 35 minutes, and former Denver Nugget, Jeff Green, had 15 PTS on 5/7 shooting [71%, 2/4 from the 3] and 4 REB in about 26 minutes. Houston shot 23/29 from the free throw line tonight.

On Denver’s side of things, Aaron Gordon had 16 PTS on 6/10 shooting [60%; 1/2 from the 3], 8 REB, and 5 AST in about 39 minutes, Michael Porter Jr. had 25 PTS on 11/19 shooting [about 58%; 3/10 from the 3] and 10 REB in about 38 minutes, and Nikola Jokić had 36 PTS on 13/26 shooting [50%; 2/6 from the 3; 8/8 from the line], 21 REB, and 11 AST in about 38 minutes. It’s a shame Joker put up a 30/20/10 triple-double in a close loss, but he officially has 109 career triple-doubles now.

This game was disappointing to say the least, but nobody is as disappointed and frustrated as the fans are tonight.

One fan, Ray on X, was actually in attendance at this game and made a claim in this tweet that many members of the Nuggets fanbase are claiming is the “reason [the Nuggets] lost tonight.” Could this be true? Or is this nothing more than speculation?

Either way, the Nuggets need to be better in the next game against the Clippers. The Clippers are 0-4 since acquiring James Harden. Denver has to make them 0-5 or else they could be in trouble during the road trip stretch after this.
